Monty Magic

I have fallen in Love …….

with a  Cat !!    Yes, I love Monty Boy, just as much as I still love my beautiful kitty Shandy who sadly passed away on 24 February 2016.   Who wouldn’t love Monty?  He is a little boy, born with a chromosome problem, affecting the bridge of his nose, but fate dealt its hand and he was adopted  by Michael, someone who at that time never dreamed that he would ever have a Cat, let alone fall in love with this Paw-some cat.

Michael & Mikala have an online Etsy shop and sales go toward helping shelter animals.  I have purchased the Fur-ever Calendar and love it.   Will you help too?

https://www.etsy.com/shop/MontyJewelry

Please keep sweeeet Monty Boy Cat in your thoughts / prayers / healing …. as he has trouble at the moment with his kidneys.

I wrote the following poem for Monty Boy.

POEM FOR MONTY

You can follow Monty’s story on Facebook, and the FB videos will show you just how much Monty and Michael love each other.  This love is awe inspiring and touching.  Once you have met Monty Boy, you will never see an animal friend again as “just a pet”.  They are not pets owned by us,   WE  are owned by them, THEY grace us with their joyous, stoic and honest presence.

https://www.facebook.com/Montyboycat/

Thank you Monty Boy Cat.  We love you.

Collective Hearts save abandoned Pup

Jakk puppy

A deformed puppy was abandoned in a Skip or a Dumpster in Western Australia recently, out the back of a “Hungry Jacks” restaurant.  Luckily for this little fellow, whom has been named Jakk, an employee heard his cries and took it upon herself to look in the bin, where she rescued this cute pup.

Jakk may have “swimmers syndrome” – one of his front legs is crooked and the other has a paw with only a few toes.  WA Pet Project took him on, and Jakk’s temporary carer Edith has said she has no hard feelings against whoever dumped him, who MAY be backyard breeders.  For a lovely photo of Jakk and more on this story, click on the Link below.

Our beautiful boy Shandy   passed away  on 24 February 2016 at 2.34 pm.

Those who know me well, understand that I believe in a “bigger world” than what there seems.  I believe all Life forms are spiritual beings or sparks of consciousness from the “Divine” or the Source, incarnated into physical forms.

I believe that our Shandy cat was a special Be-ing sent to us, to keep us together and to teach us responsibility and how to Love.  One month has passed now since he departed us, and his messages are still coming in strong.  First of all, let me say that I once experienced a cat that had crossed over, returning in Spirit form, to let us know she was okay and in spirit form.   That was a long time ago, when I began looking into our spiritual essence and connections.  I am positive that Shandy cat will also visit me in Spirit, if I call upon him!

Thank you to Ethan for doing a Card reading for me recently.  “A Message from Heaven” came up which was clearly a message from our beautiful boy, to say “I’m still around, don’t worry.”  On Sunday 27th February I was moping around the house, thinking of course about our beautiful Shandy cat, whom I still miss ALOT and then ….. I felt his loving presence.   Hooray!!

Animals are so amazing.  They truly care about us and worry over the bad energies we pick up from our workplaces, etc. and truly wish for us to be peaceful and happy.  They pick up negative energies from us and this stresses them, or makes them jittery.  Be nice to each other and look after yourself, not just for yourself, but for the sake of your animal friends.

Love your animal companions well, while you can.   If you would like to submit your message about what your Animal friend teaches you, please email me:

thehumanring@gmail.com   and I’ll post you out FREE a

No longer by our Sides, but Forever in our Hearts.

Our best friend,  Shandy

The words in this Video say exactly what I want to say.  Thank you  B.J.

Shandy

Most of all, I miss your awesome loving smile.

We will Meet again one Day !

A Tribute to Shandy Cat

IMG_0285

Goodbye to an awesome wise being, our cat friend Shandy.   Shandy our sweeeeet little beautiful furry friend passed away on Wednesday 24 February 2016 at 2.33 pm our time.

Esan & I will miss him and after some time, my grief will heal and his Spirit will carry me on.   Shandy lived with us for 16 years since he was a baby, a gift from Heaven, our Millennium cat whom kept Esan and I together, and taught us responsibility.

His Earthly “tour of duty” is over, but I like to think of him now in Heaven and I told him that I will meet him again one day.   His body just packed up internally and there wasn’t alot that could be done for him to make him comfortable and happy and little chance of a full recovery.  He knew he was ill so we said our Goodbyes.  I played him some music from Lia Scallon’s CD “A Song for the Animals” at our local Veterinarian and that helped.  He went peacefully and we buried him in his garden.

And so this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The road is so long.
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let’s stop all the fight
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear

Happy Birthday Shandy !

Happy Birthday Shandy

On New Year’s Eve 2000 (i.e. 31 December 1999) just before midnight, our “Millenium” gift arrived.

It was a sweeeet small beautiful kitten – peeking out of some rocks (an old covered up well) out the front of of our house.

We decided the kitten must have been 4 to 5 weeks old and so today is designated as Shandy’s birthday!!  Today Shandy is 16 years old.

If you go to the Categories of Posts on this site (on the right-hand side) and click on the drop down arrow, you will see Shandy has his very own Category of posts here on Fascinating Animals.   He is indeed a fascinating animal and is featured on the  “Our Animal Friends”   area of this site too.

Your cat or dog (or any other animal) companion can also be featured on a page of her/his own by going to  this   tab.

I have rather cleverly designed an interactive Happy Birthday  card for Shandy cat’s 14th birthday, 2 years ago.

Please join in wishing him a very nice Birthday by clicking on  THIS  link for the birthday card.   This will open a “dialog” box which will ask if you want to Open or Save “Happy Birthday Shandy.doc” which is a Microsoft Word document.

Please save the Word document somewhere to your computer, then have fun once you open it up to read it.  Double-click on the “loud speaker” pictures/icons.  Make sure the volume on your computer is turned up a little.  Probably don’t use iTunes as it doesn’t seem to work.

If anyone is reading this post, please download the Birthday Card and make a comment on this thread about the card and to wish our beautiful Shandy a happy birthday.  I dis-continued Shandy’s column, because of a lack of feedback or interest in it.  Sometimes people are quite happy & free to give negative feedback, but this Blog hardly gets any positive Comments, for who knows what reason.

Thank you from Shandy.

Incy Wincy Spider – or Spider Woman

Little Miss Starwise stood by the train

Waiting for transport which soon came

There winched down beside her

a little black spider

which made Little Miss try to hide her

This is a little ditty that I wrote on Thursday 19 August 2015.  You may be able to tell the Story behind it.

I was waiting on the train platform to catch the train to work, when to my surprise, a beautiful small black spider winched her way down beside me on my right.  It was almost as though she ( why say “he” all the time ) was saying hello to me personally.  The thing is she landed on the concrete, much to my alarm, as there were many Homo sapiens species ( people ) standing restlessly around.  I tried sending a message telepathically to the spider, an image of being stepped on, which I imagined happening to me & it was not at all a pleasant thought.  She could have been Charlotte.

To my greater alarm, the train arrived, so I quickly moved protectively closer to her, to shelter her from giant feet.  Luckily, this little spider had her wits about her, and sensing vibrations on the ground, etc. she promptly began winching her way back along her beautiful thread, which was invisible to me, but must have still been anchoring her to her anchor point.  I was relieved until the girl standing a few centimeters from the spider on the other side to where I was standing, lumbered forward and I thought her crooked elbow or lurching steps may propel her into my spider friend.

Geckos and Elephants

Elephant_and_Lizard_adornments1

Well, here are pictures of my new acquisitions, being a beautiful sparkly silver Elephant key-chain and a gold-tone Lizard / Gecko eye-glass holder pin ( 1 3/4 inches in length)  !! I bought the Ellie key chain, which I’ve attached to my handbag, from my local news-agency for $10.  It has no maker’s mark on it at all, but I really love it and it is blingy and a good size, at 2 inches from the tip of her trunk to the tip of her tail, and just over 1 inch from top to bottom. It is good quality and heavy-ish too.

I was rather pleased to come across the gorgeous gold Gecko brooch, as I call her, because over the past 2 weeks my partner and I have been rescuing baby Geckos, as I’ll explain in a moment.

First I am going to say that although the Gecko cost me $19.95, I thought when I saw her, that it was another “sign” that I am on the right path at this stage of my Life.

I bought a Cheep

There’s a television advert where the woman says “Yes, Michael, I bought a Jeep”.  Well, I am saying: Michael, I bought a Cheep.  I went onto eBay looking for something or other and found this very cute baby Gund fluffy chick, so I bought her.  Isn’t she sweet and I’m sure she would cheep if she could.

Shandy’s Breakfast

Well, I have discontinued the monthly “Cat-man-do” columns updating readers about Shandy cat, because it seemed that nobody except my friend Billy in the U.S.A. ever read them.  In posting them, anyway, it was as much a strategy for me as it was for our cat.  I read somewhere that if you are busy, as I am, running multiple blogs & sites, working, helping others, and writing a book, that it can be a good idea to write & post a regular post on one’s Blog, so I thought what better subject than to blog regularly about than one of my best buddies, Shandy?

So, no more  cat-man-do  posts unless there is a popular demand for their return (and Shandy & I have the time and energy to post them), and instead a random blog post about Shandy cat.  In between posting about my cat friend, I will post here on Fascinating Animals, what I like, when I feel inclined to do so.  So, there you have it.

Shandy catThis photo was taken on 7 January 2014

In this photo Shandy is looking a little solemn and sleepy, perhaps due to the run of hot weather we are having here Down Under, and the fact that he has a fur coat.

Fascinating Animals 2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 94,000 times in 2013. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 4 days for that many people to see it.
