A Dog’s Purpose – BOYCOTT Animal Movies

“He wants to get away, just throw him in”

For god’s sake, don’t we already have enough Movies about animals, especially about our so-called “pets” – dogs and cats?   I don’t watch movies with Animals in them usually because even though the American Humane Society or similar is supposed to monitor the filming for animal cruelty, well, isn’t animal cruelty like “beauty” in the eye of the human beholder?

It is artificial and taste-less to me forcing animals into raging waters or similar scenarios, because that is what the human film-makers ARE doing.  They do not nicely “ask” the animal to go into the artificial water or to plunge off a waterfall somehow ( like pointing invitingly to the water or calling them invitingly into raging waters, or talking to them telepathically ) to which the dog happily obeys –  do they??

Take “Milo and Otis” for example.  Disgusting treatment of live aware / sentient beings.

How many kittens, cats and dogs were maimed or killed during the making of this Japanese made movie, which had NO monitoring of its treatment of animals??  Do your own research, and watch the movie and if you have a brain, you will see the abuse suffered by animals in this movie.

So what, many people cry.  They are only dumb animals.  We human beings have the right to control animals.  The animals in Movies are well treated ( apart from being thrown off a waterfall, or being put in front of a viper snake which has had its fangs removed – though the cat doesn’t know that ).   They will get over it, it doesn’t cause long term harm.

Well, how do you know what the effects are??

Human beings are also Animals.  Non-human animals behave alot better than many Homo sapiens, if you ask me.  Non-human animals are loyal, don’t ask for much, they are honest, yes they compete in the wild for resources ( food and relationships with other animals ) and may seem to some exhibit un-tasteful behaviour,  BUT it is according to their Universal Laws to survive; while human beings let themselves become lazier and stupider even with the promise of technology ( too easy to use computers for long distance and in-personal communication ), and try to make money from exploiting animals.

Well, I for one, don’t want new made up movies so called about the wonderful animal world.  If I want to relate to an animal, I will go and find one in its natural setting ( or watch an ethically made Documentary ).   Join me in NOT going to see “A Dog’s Purpose” or any other movie with animal “stars”.    The links below are the reference for this post.

The premiere of the movie touted to celebrate the relationship between Homo sapien and Canine animals ( ironic ) has been cancelled.  No dogs were killed or maimed in the making of this movie, yes, but how would you a Human Being, like being forced to do something you are terrified of, especially when the reason for it is not justified ???

2017 – Year of the Hen ( rooster )

To most, 2017 is the Year of the Rooster ( male chicken).   To see which Chinese Year you were born in, please click   HERE to see a previous post.

The previous Post also has very useful / interesting information ( for those who would like to know more about Chinese Astrology ) about the 60 year cycle in Chinese Astrology.

Subtract 12 from 2017 to get the last “Year of the Rooster” and this system of course applies to all the other 11 Animal signs, subtract 12 to get the last Animal year.  Likewise you can add 12 to get the next Year of the Rooster, and so forth for the other Animal years.

See what happened world-wide in 2005 –  the last “Year of the Rooster” .

http://www.chinesefortunecalendar.com/2005.htm   2005 was really a “Chicken year”

Chinese New Year in 2017 will start on January 28.

Wolves change Rivers – Yellowstone National Park

Ecology is the branch of biology that deals with the relations of organisms to one another and to their physical surroundings.  Sometimes I read people’s comments on Forums saying to never give anyone advice about anything much, because you don’t know how you will affect the person you are trying to give advice to!  You may make things worse.

Well, that is very funny to me, and not logical at all, because we are all Life Forms including Homo sapiens or human beings.

As such, in the 3-D world / reality, we are built or formed to interact with other Life and our natural environment.  Nobody can stop the “march or the tide of Ecology” including  Human Ecology ( yes there is a formal study called Human Ecology ).   F.E.A.R. of False Evidence Appearing Real motivates some not to interact with others, for fear of upsetting them or making things worse.

But nobody is an Island and if you believe each human being has a brain and an awareness, and personality & Ego of their own, then you can know that each person is capable of and indeed responsible for how she / he responds to communications or actions toward her / him, or to anything !

Anyhow in 1995, as shown in the Video above, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, along with Canadian biologists, captured 14 wolves in Canada and placed them in Yellowstone National Park, where they had been extinct since 1926. Over the next few years, the number of wolves rose, but that was the least of the changes that took place in Yellowstone.

This is indeed an incidence of GOOD ECOLOGY, in this case human precipitated.  Just because the wolves had become extinct in 1926 did the Scientists leave things as they were?  No, I for one am glad they did not leave the status quo, but did their research and on the understanding how Ecology works, these 14 amazing Wolves were introduced to Yellowstone National Park.

Marine friendly 6-pack Rings

Beer Company Develops Edible Six-Pack Rings That Feed, Rather Than Kill, Marine Life

Better news will be that these eco-safe Ring pulls for Cans will be mass produced and bought by consumers.  We Believers ad agency and the Saltwater Brewery in Delray conjured the brilliant idea to create ring pulls which are biodegradable and sustain marine life, rather than maim them.  Americans consume huge amounts in cans each year.  If these are sold here in Australia, I will be buying my 6-packs with these, even if they cost more than the plastic rings – if I drank beer, which I don’t.

For brands to be successful today, it is no longer about being the best IN the world. But rather, being the best FOR the world and taking a real stance.

A craft beer company and an ad agency brewed up a brilliant idea to save marine life if six-pack rings end up in the ocean.   Considering that Americans drank 6.3 billion gallons of beer in 2015, and 50% of that volume was from cans, this impressive invention will have huge implications for the environment.

According to Greenpeace, approximately 70% of Seabirds and 80% of Sea Turtles are now ingesting plastic. As a result,1,000,000 birds and 100,000 marine mammals and sea turtles are dying each year.

One of the major contributors to this epidemic are the seemingly harmless six-pack rings found around cans of soda and beer.

The rings are created from beer by-products during the brewing process, such as barley and wheat, and are completely safe for humans and fish to eat. In addition, the invention is 100% biodegradable and compostable.

Alternatively, your Beers and Soft drink 6 packs could come loose or in cartons, but that is probably only a  ….. Dream.   This is an innovative and marine friendly concept which someone has at last pioneered and publicized.

Thank you to Saltwater Brewery & We Believers

Deer Man – Darius helps a female Fawn

Doe, a Deer, a female deer, this lovely Story could be made a happy song.  A Deer with two babies left the female behind because she had a bad leg.  This is the natural instinct of the mother, but luckily for the Fawn, a dear man was watching.

Darius took the Fawn into his home, and introduced the baby to his many other animal companions.  He fed the baby every 4 hours and put a brace on her leg.  After that he successfully introduced her back to her Family !!   Of course, the nay-sayers on You Tube have left their Dis-likes & their strange comments like one person has said ‘Some who Disliked the Huffington Post’s video of this story, don’t like a public display of the story.”

What would they rather?  Perhaps they are okay with Darius knocking on their door telling him this story or they are happy with it just being known and passed around locally?  How about the facts, that it was reported to the Huffington Post, he didn’t go looking for “fame” and the fact that this story HAS and will inspire others to carry out such kind acts.

If you go to Darius’ You Tube channel, you will find a follow up video about the dear family! Of course he has posted this in response to people asking how the Fawn has fared since he helped her and released her to her deer family.

In my opinion the World could do with more people like Darius.

Thank you Darius !

Barney the orange comforter

“Writing on Facebook Debbie Ann Le Page stated: “God bless you Barney, remember that lovely sunny afternoon, I laid down on the grass in the cemetery and we cuddled up together for two hours.  I needed a friend that day and there you were my angel!  God bless you.”

He has been known as “Barney, the Cemetery Cat” but I’m calling him Barney, the orange comforter!  For some reason I’m really interested in ginger / marmalade cats, and have no idea why ( maybe it is just because I like the color orange, LOL ).   Anyhow, if anyone thinks or has told you that animals or cats cannot be or are not “spiritual” –  run away, far away.

Here is a beautiful magnificent ginger tabby cat whose Mission on Earth was quite obviously to look after the souls alive and passed, at St Sampson’s Cemetery, in Guernsey, the United Kingdom.

Barney greeted and comforted mourners for 20 years!  I know from having our beloved Shandy for 16 years, that just having a live even if small, dynamic and loving, intelligent warm Be-ing around you – is a source of happiness, comfort and inspiration.

Grounds keeper Alan Curzon said Barney has now been laid to rest at the place where he spent his entire life brightening up the lives of hundreds of people during their darkest moments.  This cat’s owner moved but as the Kitty kept returning to his work-place ( the Cemetery ) the neighborhood made him a home near to the cemetery and fed and cared for him.

Alan said: “When relatives and friends have suffered the awful loss of someone close to them and go to visit a cemetery they are not in the best frame of mind but Barney was always there to cheer them up.”

“For those who entered the cemetery with a heavy heart, he lightened up the experience for them. When people walked through the gates, he often came up to them and brushed against them.”

“There was not a bad bone in his body.”

“We are putting a plaque on the wall and a bench and have found a little space for him in the cemetery where he is buried as well.”

Rest in peace,  “Angel” Barney

U.S. Adopts Near-Total Ivory Ban

The regulations, which take effect on July 6, amount to a near-total ban on the commercial trade of African elephant ivory. Current law allows for the sale of ivory and ivory products in limited cases where the seller can prove the ivory is old and was lawfully imported. But the new rules further restrict exports and sales across state lines, as well as limiting ivory trophy imports to two per year, per hunter.
